RECOVERY OF CONTRABAND ITEM IN DISTRICT TARN TARAN

Punjab . On 09th Jan’ 2022 during afternoon hours, amidst dense foggy condition, alert Border Security Force troops deployed on border heard sound of something thrown over the border fence towards own side of fencing in the area falling near Village – Mehandipur, District – Tarn Taran. However, the smugglers managed to escape taking advantage of dense fog.

1. Further, during initial search of the area, troops recovered 01 packet of narcotics suspected to be Heroin (Gross wt – 500 Gms) wrapped in yellow colour polythene.
2. Vigilant BSF troops, once again were able to foil nefarious design of smugglers to smuggle contrabands.
